Frequently asked questions
How does Minto work?
You record a meeting from your browser with the Minto Chrome extension, or upload a recording you already have. Minto transcribes it with speakers separated, then writes a summary, the key points, the decisions the room reached, and the action items — each with an owner and a due date you can edit.
Which meeting platforms does Minto support?
Any call that runs in a browser tab, including Google Meet, Zoom on the web, Microsoft Teams on the web and WhatsApp Web. The extension records that tab's audio plus your microphone. It cannot record the desktop Zoom or Teams apps, phone calls, or anything outside the browser.
Can I upload recordings instead of using the extension?
Yes. You can upload an audio or video file of up to 200 MB — mp3, wav, m4a, mp4, ogg, webm, aac and flac all work — and Minto processes it exactly the same way as a recorded call.
What can Minto AI answer?
Minto AI answers from the meetings, decisions, tasks and people in the workspace you're currently in, so you can ask what was decided about something months later instead of re-reading notes. It can also answer while a call is still running, and turn an answer into a task. It is instructed to answer only from your workspace and to say so when it doesn't know.
Who can see my meetings, and what happens if I delete one?
A meeting is private to you until you share it, and sharing is per meeting with named people in your workspace. Deleting a meeting removes the stored audio file along with its transcript, summary, key points and decisions; tasks you already created are kept so work in progress isn't lost. Transcription and analysis are processed by Google's Gemini API, and Minto never sells your data or uses it for advertising.
What languages does Minto work in?
The interface is available in English and Spanish. Transcription detects the language of the meeting itself and writes the transcript, summary, decisions and tasks in that same language, and a summary can be translated into eight languages afterwards.
How does billing work?
Plans are monthly and you can cancel at any time. Each plan includes a number of meeting hours, Minto AI credits and seats, and extra meeting hours can be added as a top-up pack whenever you need them. Payments are not open yet, so creating an account today costs nothing and we'll email you before billing starts.
